Popular animator Hosoi Mieko is known for her work on anime series like Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash and the opening of the Fate/Grand Order game, and soon fans will be able to enjoy her incredible illustrations in her first ever art book! PIE International (based in Tokyo’s Toshima ward) is releasing Hosoi Mieko Artworks on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017.
Hosoi Mieko is an animator and illustrator who has grabbed the world’s attention with her work as character designer for the smash-hit 2016 anime series Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. Hosoi Mieko Artworks is a captivating collection of illustrations from anime series and games that this extremely talented artist has worked on. In addition to past series by Matsukaze Koubou (a circle centered around Hosoi Mieko and anime director Nakamura Ryosuke) from their popular exhibition at last year’s Comiket 91, Hosoi Mieko’s Artworks also contains a bonus comic starring the girls featured in the book’s original front cover artwork.
The artwork in this book includes illustrations from Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Aiura, Psychic School Wars, the Your Lie in April opening, the Battery ending, the Fate/Grand Order opening, Space Brothers: Number Zero, and Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju, plus plenty of original illustrations.
