“Project Rap Rabbit” Fails to Raise Funds, But They Still Gotta Believe

Last month the creators of PaRappa the Rapper and Gitaroo Man launched a Kickstarter for a new game with the working title Project Rap Rabbit. As promising as the concept was, the campaign came to an end this week and it fell way short of its lofty goal. While funding is necessary to make the game possible, the team currently has no plans to pursue a followup campaign. 


This all sounds like a major bummer for what could have been a fun rhythm game, but the Kickstarter update that delivered the bad news didn’t contain any doom and gloom. Summoning the optimistic spirit of PaRappa himself, the team exclaimed, “We gotta believe!,” leaving fans with some hope for the future.
