In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Ranma 1/2, one of Rumiko Takahashi’s most successful manga series, post offices all over Japan and its official online store today started accepting pre-orders for original frame stamp sheet featuring its character illustrations. The internationally acclaimed manga artist’s comedy series started its serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in September 1987 and ran for 407 chapters. Its 38 tankobon volumes has printed a total of 53 million copies in Japan.
The 4,200 yen (about 37.50 US dollars) set includes ten 62-yen stamps, a sheet holder, 12 color illustration postcards, and an A5-size (148×210mm) daily pat type calendar. Pre-orders will be accepted at the post offices till September 15 and at the online store till four days later. It will start shipping on October 23, and is scheduled to be arrived in 10 days.
