The official website for the live-action JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable film streaming a third trailer for the film on Saturday. The trailer highlights the protagonist Jōsuke Higashikata and his Stand “Crazy Diamond,” which repairs anything it breaks. It also shows some of the other stands: Angelo’s “Aqua Necklace,” Okoyasu’s “The Hand,” and Keichō’s “Bad Company.” Original manga creator Hirohiko Araki designed Bad Company’s camouflage pattern for the film.
The Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) in Switzerland will host the film’s world premiere on July 2, and the film will also screen at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival, which will take place from July 13 to August 2. The film will open in Japan on August 4.
The film’s title is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond wa Kudakenai Dai-Ichi-Shō (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I), although the staff have not yet confirmed additional installments for the series.
Prolific filmmaker Takashi Miike (live-action Terra Formars, Ace Attorney, Crows Zero, Yatterman, For Love’s Sake, Ichi the Killer) is directing the movie. The film has finished its overseas shooting in Sitges, Spain, and is also shooting in Japan.
